The whole family love technology. They are always looking for modern innovations that have a positive impact on the environment. Brushed and Matt finishes were favoured along with warm grey tones. Client has a bit of OCD with symmetry and is very particular about this aspect of a design.
Hansgrohes Axor’s Shower Heaven range with 3 showering options and targeted water spray for feel-good wellness was exactly what we were looking for. The original shower space was fine for length 1400mm but quite narrow 700mm. The little bay window was squared off to create a larger shower 800mm wide.
The room was striped back to the brick and new framework installed. We could fit the concealed frame and cistern for the wc into the bay window space therefore allowing for more floor space.
Insulation was upgraded contributing to the energy efficiency. The room was relativity small, we had to think creatively about how to make the most of the space, the shelving alcove in the shower was built into the void space in the wall. Mirrors above the vanity fitted into the void space give the illusion of space and functional with small shelf, shaver socket and demister.
The scheme was carefully considered, warm grey concrete tones of the tiling each edge mitred complimenting the matt black of the wc, electric towel warmer, shower tray and slim frame of the sliding door enclosure with soft close door. The Poggenpohl sand grey vanity unit with bespoke Dekton basin sleek with texture from wooden panelling. Our technical drawings were all carefully measured so the top of the sliding shower rail was fitted in line with the top of the shower enclosure continuing along the window and mirror. The wc fitted centre in the window so that nothing was out of line or symmetry.
Installing Smart Lighting, we are introducing an energy-efficient smart lighting systems that can be controlled remotely and on a sensor giving a low glow in the middle of the night.
Product selection was key, we carefully selected suppliers who held the same values regarding sustainability and energy efficiency. High quality products are made with sustainability in mind and our client was happy to invest in this as they knew that they would meet their needs and requirements. The long-term value worth the higher upfront cost.
The meticulous attention to every aspect of the project, from design elements to technical specifications, delivered an outcome that exceeded their expectations.
