The room had high ceilings and some original features, but they wanted a modern style that would complement the original features, plus a room they could escape family life and relax with their tv when they got the opportunity. They had one request, they still wanted access to the original over the stairs built in cupboard, but as wasn’t particularly pretty so they were happy to have it covered. They did not to want to refurbish it, they just wanted it for extra storage for the family, out of sight, so I designed around it. 

A run of wardrobes with a tv section centrally placed for viewing from the bed as they required, which allowed for the perfect placement for drawers below and recessed cupboard space above. The tall ceilings allowed for plenty of interior options on the robes. I designed a diagonal corner wardrobe with access into the original cupboard for occasional use, allowing space for a reduced depth shelf unit inside for storage whilst leaving enough space to walk through to the original cupboard. Rechargeable LED lighting was used inside the wardrobes and incorporated internal mirrors for dressing inside the wardrobe doors with 155 degree hinges, for zero protrusion. The cornice was scribed perfectly into their original plaster ceiling cornice to finish with attention to detail. 

The wardrobes look stunning against the period style of the room and was created using Daval’s Mayfair in Super Matt Hunter Green.
