Keeping biophilic design in mind, I have designed a fully functional kitchen space including all required appliances as well as a remarkable dining and family space.

The starting point for my design concept was based on how to incorporate a large island along side a dining table large enough for entertaining within the space. By linking these two areas together I feel this has maximised their use whilst remaining as individual areas.

This design revolves around the centre island. Initially our main worktop & prep space is suspended from the ceiling on motorised cables, allowing it to rise & fall to suit various purposes, from Olivia bottling & labelling pesto or as a bar creating an atmosphere for entertaining family and friends. It also allows the working height to be customised to suit the specific task or height of the user. This worktop is in the porcelain Desert Soul by Atlas Plan, which is highly resistant to staining, scratching and heat, and has antibacterial properties.
