The semi-circle cut out on the rise and fall island allows space for the separate, round & rotating island with a butcher’s block top and prep sink. The rotation of this island adds practicality by not wasting prep space in difficult to reach places and allowing the sink to be positioned where is most ergonomic at any time. It also maximises storage and makes unloading the dishwasher very easy as you could move items from the appliance to the cupboards anywhere on this island without the need to move your feet. It’s important to note the island will have a stopper at 360 degrees to prevent the section of flexi hose plumbing becoming wound up tightly. The door selection here is a very on trend grooved timber, in walnut.
On the end of the island section, separated by a biophilic planter is a Bora X Pure induction hob, with integrated extractor. The hob is positioned to be both sociable with anyone stood around the island and to maximise on the view into the garden. Below the hob is a set of drawers including a deep pan drawer, and cutlery / utensil drawer. The third material in the kitchen is a matte glass in an on-trend taupe colour, used for both the ‘flat’ doors and none feature worktops, this too is resistant to staining, scratching and heat, and has antibacterial properties.
Above the circular island and bora hob we have both matching and contrasting suspended track lights, the shape of which mirror what is below them, adding important task lighting pointing downwards & separately controlled dimmed ambient lighting pointing upwards.
On the left-hand side of the main L-Shape, we have a pocket door cupboard concealing equipment, jars, labels, extra storage, and extra prep space.
We then have a concaved semi-circle creating a jigsaw like design feature and walking passage around the round island. Next to this is the dishwasher positioned for convenient unloading. Followed by the main washing sink with a Quooker Flex tap for maximum functionality. Finally, a Le-Mans corner unit makes up the rest of the run. Behind all this is a planter, further bringing in the outdoors. As well as wall panelling tying into the island colours plus dimmable wall lights doubling as task & ambient evening lighting.
Onto the return wall we have a glass roller shutter above the Le-Mans corner unit adding practical but aesthetically pleasing storage. Next to this is a tall appliance unit, housing a V-Zug 60cm single oven, 45cm steam oven and large warming drawer. Followed by a flush fit stainless-steel Fisher & Paykel fridge freezer with a built-in ice maker.
In the rest of the room, is a separate dining table for them to sit down as a family, and a living area with space to chill complete with a sofa, TV and feature hanging chair, that can rotate to view the kitchen or the living room, tying in with both the hanging and rotating islands.
