Central to the project was the client's desire for a kitchen veiled in darkness and mystery, deviating from traditional norms. The design team introduced black oak melamine SystemPRO cabinetry, balanced by vintage-tone mahogany flooring and metallic accents of SieMatic doors. An open plan layout promoted spaciousness and fluid movement, while strategically placed roof lights and a bi-folding door ensured ample natural light and intimate ambiance.
Design constraints, such as angled walls, inspired innovative solutions, departing from conventional wall-to-wall cabinetry to introduce display units for symmetry and visual interest. The incorporation of brushed bronze doors made a bold statement, harmonising with the cabinetry and worktop to create a cohesive aesthetic. Natural materials, including vintage-inspired flooring and oak acoustic panelling, added warmth and authenticity while ensuring timeless appeal.
The SystemPRO and SieMatic cabinetry, paired with Blanco sinks, Quooker tap, and Dekton ceramic worktop, achieved functionality and sophistication. Glamorous accents juxtaposed against the dark backdrop enhanced elegance, while oak acoustic panelling invited natural elements into the space.
Two design concepts were presented, focusing on openness and storage capacity. The chosen design integrated balance, symmetry, and storage with captivating materials and colours. The brushed bronze cabinetry doors emerged as a standout feature, complementing the overall aesthetic.
Specialist artisans contributed expertise in acoustic panelling and intricate joinery work, achieving flawless finishes and visual intrigue. The illusion of floating cabinetry added innovation to the space.
Craftsmanship, creativity, and execution seamlessly blended elegance, functionality, and harmony with the environment. The chosen design concept surpassed expectations, inspiring other areas of the house with its unified design language.
