A Member is one who displays a current membership certificate & is confirmed as a member on the KBSA members directory "Find A Showroom" on this website, or is confirmed by the KBSA office as being a valid member at the time of paying the deposit. Your member registers your contract, after which you will receive your certificate of insurance directly from our insurer. Remember, no certificate no cover!
KBSA ConsumerCare Deposit Protection provides cover for an amount of up to a maximum of 25% of the total contract price, Deposit Payments made or £18,750 whichever is the lesser, in the event that the KBSA Contractor has Ceased to Trade for specifically defined reasons and is therefore is unable to supply the Materials. Cover begins from the date the initial deposit payment was made as shown on the written receipt and lapses after 120 days, or on the delivery date or on the cancellation of the contract, whichever is sooner (this period can be extended up to a total of 180 days upon specific request and approval by the Insurer).
